About Arrival
A few years ago, my mom convinced me to join her for a polar plunge. I thought she was joking.
A one-time challenge quickly turned into a curiosity about the connection between heat, cold, and how great it felt standing in a wet bathing suit outside on New Year’s Day. Later that year, I stumbled upon a sauna village built around authentic Finnish sauna traditions. What began as a visit turned into something much bigger, becoming a daily member and eventually joining the team as I learned firsthand what makes a truly great sauna experience.
From there, I began visiting saunas throughout New England, connecting with new owners and enthusiasts, reading books, watching documentaries, listening to podcasts, and learning from people who had been practicing these traditions for many years. I also spent time at UKTS in Pembroke, one of the oldest Finnish social clubs in the United States, where sauna traditions have been passed down for generations.
Using everything I learned along the way, Arrival was built around the principles that make sauna feel its best: an authentic (IKI) wood-fired stove, good ventilation, comfortable bench heights, soft heat, and rich löyly. More than anything, I wanted to create a space where people could gather differently. I'm so excited to be joining the growing community of sauna lovers here on Cape Cod.
Whether you join a public session, book a private rental, or just stop by to see what it's all about, my hope is that you'll leave feeling better than when you arrived.
Hope to see ya in there!
Stephanie
